The Lake County Horse Council first introduced the Horse Faire to the Kelseyville Pear Festival in 2012 as a way for the community to learn all about horses through live demonstrations, where people can see a variety of breeds and disciplines. The event continues to provide the public with an up close opportunity to learn all about horses, the many aspects of what is required to care for a horse and see many different breeds. Round pen breed demonstrations are held throughout the day along with specialty demonstrations. All are welcome to visit the and pet the horses and ask questions. The initial Horse Faire was held at the old Kelseyville Lumberyard in 2012 but has since moved to the corner of Fourth & Main Streets next to the Firehouse
